A mind blowing new pike and seatrout rod.
This year we introduce two new models in our very popular Argon range.
The idea was to create two specialist pike rods, especially for people, that get sore wrists and arms after a day fishing with big flies and rods above the # 6. We therefore made these two rods, but the rods turned out to be much more than light pike rods. The 8 weight is a superb pike rod. Despite it’s extreme low diameter of the blank, and very low weight it has some power that is very usefull when big pike are battled and big flies are tossed into the horizont.
The 7 weight was originally created as a lightweight pike rod, but what a seatrout rod it turned out to be. You will experience some line speed and casting distance, that is just mindblowing. It is a superb sensitive rods with a unique feel, and an extreme low weight.
You will have an unbelievable line speed and very tight loops, which will make it easier to achieve bigger distance even with the bigger flies. During demonstrations in especially Sweden and Denmark seatrout fishermen was astonished by the casting distance these two rods could help the casters to achieve.
The action is still the popular Argon action which is a medium type action, but due to the shorter length it feels faster – much faster. When you put presure to the blank you see how deep it finds the resources, so it is a real joy to fish with. Even though this is a very light and sensitive instrument it has good power to handle the big fish, as it has superb butt power. These rods should be tried to understand the potential.
Our test members and all of us at A.Jensen can say all we want to praise these rods, but it is worth nothing compared to trying them yourself, and let the rods “speak” for themselves. We do though want to say this. We truly believe the future preferred coastal rods and pike rods will be around 8’ in length, and these two rods will show you why we think so.
