A.Jensen Split Bamboo rods

The Test and The Itchen are rods made acording to the long tradition of handbuild splitcane rods. They are made of Tonkin Bamboo and after well known tapers.

If you like the unique feel of bamboo rods, but in a more modern taper, where the weight are low and the action is a bit faster, than for the old rods, then this will be a delight for you. These are though not fast action rods, but rods with true full flex bamboo action.

Split cane rods will always have a group of fans. We have been able to keep the price at a very modest level for these rods, so we believe this will add more fans to the split cane club.

We have kept to tradition, on most points, except with the ferules. They are so called expansion ferules, or hulks. They work with time, so that they fit for the longest time possible. Normal ferules will eventually get loose, so that the top will shoot off during casting. With the expansion ferules, this will happen much later.
